Biography

Wendy Gelfand-Chaite holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland and received her J.D. from Pace School of Law. Following law school, Ms. Gelfand-Chaite served as a federal judicial law clerk for two years in the United States District Court, Southern District of New York; practiced large firm commercial litigation for five years at Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon; and was an adjunct professor at Pace Law for three years teaching legal research and writing, as well as a pre-trial civil litigation clinical program. In 1998, Ms. Gelfand-Chaite founded the Lymphatic Research Foundation (n/k/a Lymphatic Education & Research Network), for which she served as Executive Director. She has served on numerous government advisory councils, national boards, and committees and is internationally recognized for her advocacy in transforming the field of lymphatic research and medicine.
