ADR is a rapidly growing field nationally and internationally. It is used in almost all areas of law, including business, family, real estate, elder, sports, intellectual property and even criminal. A growing number of courts and jurisdictions either mandate participation in ADR or sponsor ADR programs as a part of the judicial dispute resolution process.

The E. David Woycik, Jr. Intensive Trial Techniques Program offers students a unique opportunity to develop core litigation skills through a short-term, highly focused, hands-on course. This intensive “immersion” program uses a concentrated curriculum and extremely low faculty-student ratio — typically one faculty member for every five students — to provide basic training in all of the fundamental lawyering skills involved in civil and criminal trials

Participation in a clinic is truly a unique educational opportunity. It may well be the only occasion during a student’s law school career literally to “practice” law. In a clinic, students represent actual people and work on actual cases. They advocate in court, counsel clients, conduct fact investigations and mediate disputes.

Concentrations provide students with the opportunity to focus their course of study in one or more specialties that match their interests and career plans. The concentration program is designed to help students build relationships with faculty who teach and write in the relevant area of law, select courses that will provide them with a broad base of knowledge about the field, and identify and pursue activities and work experiences in the subject of the concentration.
