Hofstra Law Office of Career Services is here to serve you, the employer.

We will work closely with you to bring you the talent you seek through several recruitment events (OCI, Spring Interview Program, Recent Grads for Hire), by use of the Symplicity job posts, and by working directly with Daphne Telfeyan, Senior Assistant Dean for Career Development and Employer Relations. Daphne spent over 14 years as a legal recruitment professional and knows how to identify candidates responsive to your searches. She is also available to give direct assistance during the various recruitment programs.

Our Early Interview Program (EIP) provides rising second- and third-year students the opportunity to apply for interviews with many of the largest international and national law firms; mid-size and smaller firms; federal, state and local government agencies; and a variety of public interest and not-for-profit organizations.

EIP typically runs from mid-July to late October each year, and virtual interviews are conducted through the Flo Recruit platform.

Employers interviewing Hofstra Law students in connection with EIP select the students they wish to interview. We do not operate a lottery. Employers are also welcome to participate in our Resume Collection Program. Through this program, employers will receive from Hofstra Law a packet containing the application materials for all the students wishing to interview with that employer. The employer is free to invite selected students to their offices for an interview. Employers may designate the date by which they wish to receive the resume packet, which can be in advance of the commencement of EIP.

If employers are prepared to consider first-year students with only fall semester grades, resume packets can be made as early as requested by the employer. If an employer is not yet familiar with Hofstra Law students and the great talent they offer, Daphne Telfeyan is happy to work with you to allow you to be introduced to our students through the submission of select resumes.

There is no fee to employers to participate in the EIP and Resume Collection programs.

If you would like to participate in our EIP and Resume Collection programs, please complete and return to us our Program Registration Form and Statement of Non-Discrimination.

During the spring semester, Hofstra Law hosts a virtual Spring Interview Program (SIP) for employers seeking to hire summer interns and/or entry-level attorneys.

Students may apply to as many employers as they wish. Employers select all of the students they wish to interview. The interviews are generally conducted in March virtually. Employers may also arrange to conduct on-campus interviews at the Office of Career Services or remotely through Flo Recruit throughout the semester.

There is no fee to participate in this program, and employers select the students they wish to interview.
