What’s next for you after commencement?

After commencement I will be entering the 2025 class of the New York State Excelsior Service Fellowship Program. Here, I will be placed with the Department of Financial Services, Cyber Security Division, supporting its mission related to cybersecurity to ensure the safety and soundness of the financial system by protecting consumers and markets from cybersecurity risks, while also promoting responsible innovation and staying ahead of technological changes.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

One of my most meaningful experiences at Hofstra Law was having the opportunity to support the community through the Hofstra Pro Se Legal Assistance Program and the Hofstra Law Veterans Clinic. 

These programs entrusted my classmates and I with significant responsibility, allowing us to work directly with clients and assist them in navigating complex legal challenges.

Through this work, I gained a deeper understanding of the barriers to justice faced by many in our local community and became more aware of the diverse legal issues affecting veterans. It has truly been one of the greatest honors of my life to advocate for fellow veterans and other underrepresented individuals in the pursuit of justice during my time at Hofstra Law.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

At the beginning of the summer after 1L finals, I remember getting the call from Paul Sessa ‘24 that I got on to Hofstra Law Review. It was a goal I had set for myself at the beginning of my first year of law school. Not only was fulfilling that goal extremely exciting, but that call was the start of the best experience I have had in law school. Close to two years later, I have learned more than I could have imagined and made friends I will have for the rest of my life.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

My favorite Hofstra Law memory was serving as a Notes Editor for the Hofstra Law Review. This experience required combining legal reasoning and creativity as I was partially responsible for the drafting of the 2024 journal writing competition. However, the best part of my responsibilities was acting as a mentor to 2L students writing their Note. Guiding other students through an arduous 8-month writing process was not only an incredibly fulfilling experience that sharpened my editing, writing, research, and teaching skills, but one where I was able to establish incredible relationships with both my mentees and peers. Forming these friendships along the path of contributing novel legal scholarship was easily the most gratifying part of my law school career.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

One of my favorite Hofstra Law memories has been competing in Moot Court. From participating in the intramural competition as a 1L and realizing I wanted to pursue a career in litigation, to competing interscholastically in national competitions during my 2L and 3L years, this experience allowed me to develop valuable advocacy skills that I will take with me as I enter practice.

As challenging as final exams can be, some of my favorite memories come from nights spent in the library until 11 p.m., laughing with my friends after a long day of studying. While those late nights put our dedication and drive to the test, they also made us closer, allowing us to become support systems for one another throughout the last three years.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

It's hard to choose a favorite memory. I've cherished everything from seeing my friends at school every day to building amazing relationships with professors and experiencing unforgettable moments—like participating in the NYC Bar Diversity program, joining Hofstra Law Review, receiving the Honorable Dorothy T. Eisenberg “Trailblazer” Award and Scholarship and 2024 Amistad Scholarship Award, and serving my community as a Pro Bono Scholar at the Legal Aid Society of Nassau County.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

I have two favorite Hofstra Law memories. The first was being elected as the Editor-in-Chief for the ACTEC Law Journal. Through this experience, I learned how to lead an organization of people and explore the various issues affecting the Wills, Trust, and Estates practice area. Moreover, I have been gifted with many wonderful memories with my friends throughout the past year.

The second was competing in the intramural competition for the Dispute Resolution Society. I became a semifinalist thanks to the invaluable experience of preparation, feedback, and teamwork amongst the fellow members. I was able to further my negotiation opportunities by competing in the William & Mary ADR Competition this past February.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

It’s difficult to choose just one favorite memory from my past three years at Hofstra. I loved working as Professor Weintraub’s legal writing teaching assistant, helping students navigate their first year of law school. I also had the chance to complete my dream externship with the Department of Justice’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Unit, where I worked on cases that strengthened my passion for child advocacy. Through Professor Klein’s externship seminar, I gained valuable insights that I’ll carry with me into my legal career. 

Still, the memories that mean the most to me are the simple ones —late-night study sessions and smoothie runs with my friends, Abby and Jackie. We took nearly every class together, sharing countless laughs and always supporting each other along the way. I’m deeply grateful to Hofstra not just for the professional opportunities, but for the lifelong friendships that I’ll carry with me well beyond graduation.

What’s your favorite Hofstra Law memory?

My experience at Hofstra Law has given me various memories that I am grateful for. Sitting down with my closest friends and gearing up for finals every semester has created so many lasting and memorable moments for me that I will cherish for the rest of my life. If I had to pick one memory, I would choose my experience competing in the Hofstra Law Intramural Moot Court Competition. There was something special about learning the litigation style of appellate-level attorneys and being able to hone and sharpen my argument with the help of some of my closest friends. Despite all the nerves leading into the preliminary rounds, the eventual “click” that happened in my mind when giving my first argument in front of judges will stick with me forever. Being able to gain confidence in my practice and having it translate directly to the performance of my oral argument taught me valuable lessons in the importance of preparation, resilience, and hard work.
