Spring 2026 Commencement
Former United States Associate Attorney General and civil rights leader Vanita Gupta will deliver the commencement address at Hofstra Law’s commencement ceremony on Monday, May 18, at 5 p.m. at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, located on Hofstra’s North Campus.

Graduate and Public Service Awards Celebration
12 p.m., John Cranford Adams Playhouse
The Class of 2026 Graduate and Public Service Awards Celebration will recognize student accomplishments throughout the law school, and in the areas of public service. There will be speeches by elected student speakers and the Teacher of the Year.
This program will be immediately followed by a reception in the law school for students, faculty, family, and friends.
Commencement Ceremony
5 p.m., David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex
The Commencement Ceremony will take place in the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex (the Arena located on the North side of campus). This ceremony will last approximately two hours.
At the Commencement ceremony, former Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta will be the commencement speaker. The president of the University, Susan Poser, will confer the degrees, and students will walk across the stage, be hooded by select faculty, and then congratulated by Dean Jenny Roberts.
Tickets are not necessary for this event. For those who cannot attend the commencement ceremony, a livestream is available on YouTube.
