Bio

Frances Mingoia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Fordham University and her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. During law school, she was a summer associate at the bankruptcy firm of Zalkin, Rodin & Goodman, a judicial summer intern at New York State Supreme Court, and participated in the Bet Tzedek Legal Clinic and Unemployment Action Center.

Frances began her career in private practice as an associate in the litigation department of Mendes & Mount LLP representing the London Market in environmental declaratory judgment actions. Frances later joined AIG where she worked on environmental declaratory judgement litigation and overseas multinational risks before joining AIG’s Law Department as Assistant Division Counsel providing legal, advisory, and regulatory support to business divisions of the organization.

After a satisfying career in the private and corporate sectors, Frances earned an Executive Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Fordham University and gained experience in supporting and advising non-profit organizations, writing federal and private grants as well as serving as an Article 81 Court Evaluator in New York Guardianship.

She has served on the Board of Directors of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Queens County and the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association. She was inducted into Women Economic Developers of Long Island (WEDLI) in 2022, dedicated to promoting and assisting in the growth and economic development in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
