There are a tremendous number of online resources available to assist you with your search for internship, externship and postgraduate employment opportunities. Below you will find information about and links to some of the resources that will be most helpful to you. This list is not exhaustive, and we encourage you to be proactive in identifying and using as many additional resources as possible.

Current internship, externship and postgraduate employment opportunities that have been posted with the Maurice A. Deane School of law at Hofstra University’s Office of Career Services (OCS) can be found on Symplicity. Symplicity can be used by Hofstra Law students and graduates to view and apply to hundreds of postings. Hofstra Law students and graduates can access Symplicity through the My.Hofstra.edu portal. Once logged in to the portal, click on “My Apps” and then “Law Career Management System.” If you do not know or cannot remember your user name or password for the portal, please contact OCS at 516-463-5871 or lawcareer@hofstra.edu.

Mental and Physical Disabilities Law Internship Opportunities

ABA Washington, D.C. Office
Available for the fall, spring, and summer semesters. Duties include using Westlaw to research disability law issues, citechecking cases and legislation, and assisting with various other Commission projects.

The Health Law section of the New York State Bar Association provides a list of pro bono opportunities in health law. The list includes organizations in New York City and Long Island that have programs that provide health law services. The list includes a description of each project and contact information.
