"Jack M. Platt practices corporate law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, as a sole practitioner with offices at 767 Third Avenue, New York, New York, sharing space with five other lawyers whose areas of practice complement his. Jack formerly practiced corporate and securities law with Shearman & Sterling, with Kramer Levin Nessen Kamin & Soll, and with Gordon Hurwitz Weitzen Shalov & Wein.

His practice also emphasizes, among other things, representation regarding employment and consulting agreements and executive compensation arrangements, distributorship and licensing arrangements, trademark matters, and corporate oversight and supervision of miscellaneous business disputes and litigation.

Jack is a graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook (B.A., 1973) and Hofstra University School of Law (J.D., with distinction, 1977). He lives with his wife, two sons, one daughter-in-law, and two dogs in Port Washington, New York.

Jack enjoys skiing and scuba diving, and has sailed in hundreds of yacht races, including five ocean races from Rhode Island to Bermuda."
