Lightbulb Icon

OUR CURRICULUM IS CUTTING-EDGE. Hofstra Law offers concentrations of study in the following practice areas: family law; criminal law and procedure; health law; business law honors; intellectual property law honors; international law honors; energy and environmental law; corporate compliance; and alternative dispute resolution. Students who participate in these concentrated areas of study must complete a number of core and advanced courses, skills training and writing requirements. They are well prepared in these practice areas.

Briefcase Icon

WE TEACH THE BUSINESS OF LAWYERING. In addition to the vast experiential learning opportunities Hofstra Law provides (e.g., practical externships, clinical practicums and clinics) most students work 20 hours/week while in law school and full time during their summers. Moreover, many of our students enroll at Hofstra Law having prior careers or prior valuable work experience and are business savvy.

Small Group Icon

DIVERSITY MATTERS TO US. We have a student body representing a diverse population. Students of color make up approximately one- third of the Law School. Hofstra Law offers a strong pool of candidates to help your organization successfully pursue a policy of inclusion.
