Claudia Hinrichsen, of counsel at Rivkin Radler, was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America 2018.

1992

William Munck, managing partner at Munck Wilson Mandala, was named to The Best Lawyers in America 2017 for litigation-patent, litigation-intellectual property, trademark law, copyright law, and venture capital law, and he is once again listed in sports law for his impressive efforts in battling coaching and organizational corruption in amateur athletics. As chairman of the firm’s intellectual property practice group, he has built an impressive team of IP attorneys with decades of IP law experience, representing some of the most well known technology leaders in the industry. He also was named a 2017 Distinguished Leader by Texas Lawyer magazine in Aug. 2017.

Cheryl Sobeski-Reedy, an attorney at the Luzerne County Public Defender’s Office, was selected as one of 25 attorneys from across the country to attend the 2017 Juvenile Training Immersion Program (JTIP) Summer Academy, hosted in June by Georgetown Law’s Juvenile Justice Clinic and the National Juvenile Defender Center in Washington, DC.

Michael Penner, chairman of Hydro-Québec, was appointed to the board of directors of Scotiabank in June 2017.

Hon. Ralph Amirata was appointed to the New Jersey Superior Court bench by Gov. Chris Christie in July 2017.

Jennifer Appel joined Certilman Balin in January 2017 as a partner in the firm’s real estate and land use and zoning practice groups.

Michael Cardello III, a partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, was appointed in July 2016 by the Nassau County Bar Association to serve on its We Care Fund advisory board. In Oct. 2017, he was appointed by the Catholic Lawyers Guild of Nassau County to serve on its board of directors and was elected president of the Theodore Roosevelt Inn of Court, in Mineola, NY.

Patrick Cox joined Baker McKenzie as a partner in August 2016.

Jeffrey Ettenger, a partner at Schwartz Ettenger, was featured in “Ones to Watch in Law” in the July 7-13, 2017, edition of Long Island Business News.

Hon. Jacob Gertsman was appointed an administrative law judge with the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law in May 2017.

Robert Scott was named Technology Lawyer of the Year — USA by Lawyer Monthly in December 2016.

Matthew Camardella, a partner at Jackson Lewis, was appointed co-chair of the firm’s affirmative action & OFCCP defense practice group. He directs the preparation of more than 400 affirmative action plans each year and has defended hundreds of OFCCP audits for a broad range of employers across the country.

Steven Rubin, a partner at Moritt Hock & Hamroff, was appointed chair of the IP transactions and licensing committee of the American Bar Association.

Melissa Heilig Sidor joined Campolo Middleton & McCormick as counsel in Aug. 2017 and was featured in “Ones to Watch in Law” in the Aug. 11-17, 2017, edition of Long Island Business News.

Simone Moore-Baker passed away in August 2016.

Jeremy Wolk, a partner at Nixon Peabody, was recognized as a leader in his practice — Corporate/M&A, New York (Upstate) — in the 2017 Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business rankings.

Arthur Laitman, a partner at Rosenberg, Fortuna & Laitman, was named an associate member of the board of directors of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America in August 2016.

Jason S. Samuels, a partner at Farrell Fritz, was named to The Best Lawyers in America 2017.
