Hofstra Law to Salute 116 Alums at "In Honor of Justice" Dinner
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — In tribute to the 116 alumni members of the judiciary, Hofstra Law School will host an “In Honor of Justice” dinner on Thursday, January 28, Hilton New York Hotel, 1345 Avenue of the Americas, Third Floor, Mercury Ballroom, beginning at 6:30 PM.
Held in conjunction with the New York State Bar Association Annual Meeting, this event will support the 2010 Public Justice Foundation Fellowships. This year's 2010 Public Justice Foundation Honoree is Neil Hernandez (Class of '95).
Among the alumni members of the judiciary are five justices currently serving on the New York State Appellate Division level. These special guests are: The Honorable Leonard B. Austin ('77), The Honorable Joseph Covello ('79), The Honorable Sallie Manzanet-Daniels ('88), The Honorable Juan Merchan ('94) and The Honorable Sandra L. Sgroi ('78).
