Hofstra Law professors and alumni named New York "Super Lawyers"
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Hofstra Law School Professors Leon Friedman and Alan Resnick, along with 86 Hofstra Law alumni were named New York metro’s “Super Lawyers” by Law & Politics magazine.
Super Lawyers are the top five percent of attorneys in the New York metro area, based on peer surveys and independent research.
Professor Friedman, Joseph Kushner Distinguished Professor of Civil Liberties Law, was recognized for his work in civil liberties. Professor Resnick, Benjamin Weintraub Distinguished Professor of Bankruptcy Law, is of counsel to Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York City, where he consults on bankruptcy, insolvency and commercial law issues.

The Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University is located 40 minutes from New York City in suburban Long Island.
