HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. — Seventy-nine Hofstra Law School alumni were included in the New York metro area’s
Super Lawyers list. “I am incredibly proud to see so many Hofstra Law alumni included on the New York metro area’s
Super Lawyers list,” said Nora V. Demleitner, Interim Dean. “These attorneys represent the exemplary accomplishments of our alumni community and Hofstra Law School as a whole.”
In addition to the seventy-nine Hofstra Law alumni, one full-time faculty member was included on the list. Alan N. Resnick is the Benjamin Weintraub Distinguished Professor of Bankruptcy Law at Hofstra Law School. He has taught in the bankruptcy, corporate reorganization, commercial law and contracts areas for more then 30 years. In addition to teaching, Professor Resnick is Of Counsel to the law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, where he consults on bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial law issues in connection with complex debt restructurings, chapter 11 reorganization cases, and corporate transactions.
The objective of the
Super Lawyers selection process is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource to assist attorneys and sophisticated consumers in the search for legal counsel. Over 89,000 practicing attorneys in the New York metro area were considered and only the top 5% were selected by their peers for inclusion.
