Each spring, members of the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University’s graduating class select a faculty member to receive the annual Teacher of the Year award. The winners receive an engraved plaque, recognition in the commencement program and a stipend. The Teacher of the Year also addresses graduates and their guests at the Graduates’ Celebration and Awards Ceremony, which is typically held the same day as the Law School’s commencement exercises each May.
