Monroe H. Freedman Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics

Monroe H. Freedman Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics

The Maurice A. Deane School of Law has always viewed the subject of legal ethics as a priority and an essential component of legal education. However, in the last several years, legal ethics has become the focus of intense national attention.

Hofstra Law’s Monroe H. Freedman Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics serves as a research center for the study of legal ethics issues. In addition to offering courses in professional responsibility, the Freedman Institute sponsors speakers, conferences and symposiums. It also provides opportunities for student and faculty research.
