Professor Michael Haber directs the Disaster Recovery Clinic, which provides legal assistance to people and groups affected by “Superstorm” Sandy in Long Island and the Rockaways. Professor Haber has previously led the Community & Economic Development Clinic at Hofstra and has been an adjunct instructor in the Community & Economic Development Clinic at CUNY School of Law. Before teaching, Professor Haber was a senior staff attorney at Brooklyn Legal Services Corp. A (Brooklyn A), where he began his career as an Equal Justice Works Fellow, sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, LLP. At Fordham Law School, he was a Stein Scholar and recipient of the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award. Professor Haber’s research interests include community development, corporate governance, worker-owned enterprises, democratic organizational structures, and affordable housing finance.
