April 25, 2013: The Maurice A. Deane School of Law officially launched the Gitenstein Institute for Health Law and Policy during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Nassau University Medical Center.

January 31, 2013: The Hofstra University Bioethics Center, the Maurice A. Deane School of Law and the Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine at Hofstra University presented “Neuroimaging: Ethical, Legal and Humanistic Dilemmas in the Struggle for Consciousness.”
