Janet L. DolginJanet L. Dolgin, Jack and Freda Dicker Distinguished Professor of Health Care Law, Director of the Institute for Health Law and Policy and Co-Director of Hofstra University Bioethics Center; Professor, Department of Science Education, Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine
Professor Dolgin is the director of the  Institute for Health Law and Policy and co-director of the Hofstra University Bioethics Center. She teaches courses in bioethics and health law, and her scholarly work combines insights from anthropology and legal scholarship. She is also co-author of Bioethics and the Law (with Lois Shepherd), a casebook intended for use by practitioners and in law school teaching.


Tracy DunbrookTracy Dunbrook, Visiting Assistant Professor of Law
Professor Dunbrook’s predominant research and teaching interests lie in the fields of health law, biotechnology, bioethics and tort law. She served as a project participant at the Hastings Center, a bioethics research center, investigating a wide range of bioethical issues, including genetics, biotechnology and medical ethics. She received a Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities from Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 2009, and she sits on the Ethics Committee at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx.


Vern R. WalkerVern R. Walker, Director of the Research Laboratory for Law, Logic and Technology and Professor of Law
Professor Walker teaches courses in scientific evidence, torts, products liability, administrative law and European Union law. As director of the LLT Lab, he works with student researchers on the Vaccine/Injury Project Corpus, which analyzes legal decisions awarding or denying compensation for health problems allegedly due to vaccinations.
