Students will be expected to live in the Washington, D.C., area during the 14 weeks they will be enrolled
in HLDC. Travel and living expenses — including housing, utilities, public transportation, meals and other
expenses — will be the responsibility of each student. While the HLDC program director and Executive
Director of Pro Bono, Externship and Fellowship Programs Franca Sachs will help to facilitate housing
opportunities, students may prefer to make their own housing arrangements. Students receiving financial aid
should also inquire about the possibility of supplemental assistance to enable them to participate in HLDC.
