The full-time faculty at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University consists of nearly 50 nationally and internationally recognized scholars who represent diverse fields. Faculty members have clerked for U.S. Supreme Court justices, chaired major American Bar Association and law reform committees, received awards for scholarship and leadership in legal education and community leadership and have been politically active in their communities; they are also recognized leaders in clinical and skills training. Faculty publications reflect a wide range of interests and expertise, ongoing participation in important scholarly debates of the day and significant contributions to the study and teaching of law. The faculty's open-door policy fosters an accessible and collegial environment and reflects professors' engagement with their students.The American Legal Studies LL.M. students work most closely with Professors Julian Ku and Juliana Campagna as they teach the two required LL.M. courses in the first semester.
