Concentrations provide students with the opportunity to focus their course of study in one or more specialties that match their interests and career plans. The concentration program is designed to help students build relationships with faculty who teach and write in the relevant area of law, select courses that will provide them with a broad base of knowledge about the field, and identify and pursue activities and work experiences in the subject of the concentration.
Hofstra Law is pleased to announce the availability of new and enhanced concentrations. The new concentration program is being phased in to accommodate the needs of current, new and prospective students.
Students entering before fall 2011 remain eligible to enroll in and complete any of the concentrations offered at the time of their enrollment (the “pre-existing concentrations”) and may also enroll in two new concentrations: an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Concentration and a Business Law Honors Concentration. Students entering in fall 2011 and thereafter may enroll in any of the new concentration offerings. (Note that the pre-existing concentrations are being discontinued.)
