The Tax Law Society enables future attorneys who are interested in financially related legal fields to network with current professionals, as well as one another, in order to gain insight and promote career development. The Tax Law Society accomplishes this through professional mixers where students can meet future employers. Group meetings also allow students to share experiences and advice with one another. Additionally, the Tax Law Society assists the community through such initiatives as the IRS-sponsored VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Association) program where students help prepare tax returns for low-income individuals in a pro bono capacity.
