The
mission of the Art Law and Culture Society is to provide a student
organization to the Hofstra Law community that helps introduce art law to
those who have an interest, while simultaneously helping to cultivate
contacts in the art world for those who wish to pursue it further in their
careers.
Programs will include panels from leading art litigation practitioners and
in-house counsel to galleries, museums and private artists whose First
Amendment rights necessitate protection. Legal educational, as well as
networking, events will be held on campus as well as off-site when sponsored
by local galleries.
