The William R. Ginsberg Memorial Summer Fellowship in Environmental Law is being established by the Estate of Marian O. Naumburg in honor of Professor Ginsberg.
Hofstra Law School Dean and Professor of Law Nora V. Demleitner said, “I am so proud that we are able to honor Professor William Ginsberg through this fellowship, which will give law students the opportunity to pursue a summer internship at the Natural Resources Defense Council, or other government or not-for-profit environmental organization. This fellowship will pay tribute to Professor Ginsberg’s life work, his dedication to Hofstra Law School and the environmental law field,” said
The ELS sponsors environmentally-minded programs both on- and off-campus. The objectives of the ELS are to raise awareness about environmental issues, educate people about how they can help and curb the environmental impact at Hofstra through the use of environmental technology. The organization promotes networking between students, alumni and professionals by coordinating events and employment opportunities.
