Hofstra University School of Law, Hempstead, NY: Hofstra Law School will host the first annual Hofstra-Erasmus Lecture on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 11:10 am in the Sidney R. Siben and Walter Siben Moot Courtroom. The lecture, titled “Limits of Private Law: Enriching Legal Dogmatics,” will be delivered by Marc A. Loth, the Dean of the School of Law at Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
Loth has published in the areas on law and language, the concept of action in law, on Dutch and Antillean law and on concepts in criminal and civil law. As Dean of Erasmus University Rotterdam School of Law, he leads a law school with an international and interdisciplinary approach to law and trade, with a strong emphasis on practical business orientation.

Hofstra Law School, founded in 1970, is accredited by the ABA and boasts an alumni body of nearly 9,000 graduates. The school is located on campus at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. In addition to its full-time juris doctor (J.D.) degree program, Hofstra Law School offers part-time day and evening J.D. programs as well as numerous graduate degree programs.
