Converting an Email Link from Licensed Databases
Some of our licensed databases send email news to subscribers. Often, in these messages will be links to read the full text of a story, or just to get more information. However, from outside the law school they won't work, as the database site doesn't know you are a licensed subscriber. Solution - use this page to authenticate via our proxy server, and get the information you want. Please copy the link from your email into the relevant text box below and press Convert. (The easiest way is probably to move your cursor over the link in your email program, right-click, and select "Copy Link". Then place the cursor in the box on this page, right-click, and choose "Paste".)
Then click on the "Convert" button. The link underneath the button will change to, "Now, CLICK HERE to access email link". A new tab/window will open up where you will enter your name and 700 number (just like for any other remote access attempt). After this, the page from the licensed database will load.
If you have any questions, or wish other database conversions to be added, please contact Dominick Grillo, Assistant Director for Technology and Collection Services.
