Akshay D. Tripathi joined Hofstra Law School in the spring of 2011 and works in the Information Technology department. He is primarily responsible for leading teams and projects focused on developing, implementing and maintaining robust services for information system operations in the Law School. His team actively engages in hardware and software support, including departmental-specific software applications, computerized exam applications, and audio-visual and media delivery systems.
Mr. Tripathi has nearly 12 years of professional experience in the Information Technology industry. Before joining Hofstra Law School, he managed various information technology projects with such international clients as CitiBank and Mastercard. In his last job at Wipro Technologies, he managed all phases of the software life cycle, including strategic planning, business requirement development, functional and program specification development, relational database design, programming, testing and implementation.
Mr. Tripathi received his Bachelor of Engineering, with a computer science concentration, in May 1999 from Barkatullaha University, Bhopal, India. He graduated from Hofstra University’s Frank G. Zarb School of Business in May 2011 with an MBA in finance. Since June 2011 he is a crertified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and an active member of Project Management Institute (PMI, New York City Chapter)
