Biography
Upon graduation from law school, Professor Eldred clerked for the Honorable James L. Oakes, Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He then accepted a position as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell. Since that time, he has worked for the Legal Aid Society, the Lawyers Committee for Human Rights, and Appellate Advocates. He began his teaching career at New York University School of Law, where he served first as a Mentor/Lecturer in the Criminal Appeals Clinic and then as an Acting Assistant Professor in the Lawyering Program. For the last three years, Professor Eldred has been a Clinical Professor in the Legal Clinic at Lewis and Clark Law School. In this capacity, he has been teaching a seminar and supervising students in their representation of clients in administrative hearings and state court litigation.Professor Eldred has written several articles in the Fordham Law Review, the West Virginia Law Review, and the University of Kansas Law Review. He is a frequent presenter at clinical conferences and at legal training workshops around the country.
