Biography

Professor Groarke was formerly a Deputy Nassau County Attorney and associate at the New York City law firm of Brady & Tarpey, P.C. prior to becoming an associate and then partner with Colleran, O'Hara & Mills in Garden City, New York. He has a broad civil litigation background with a specialty in labor and employee benefits law. He holds a B.A. from St. Francis College and an M.A. from Brooklyn College in addition to a law degree from St. John's University and a Masters in Labor Law as well as an additional Masters of Law from New York University. Professor Groarke was admitted to practice law in New York State in 1980. He is also admitted before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
