Message from the Dean

Dear Fellow Members of the Hofstra Law Community,

Kathleen Beckett passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2009. Many of you have known Kathleen over the years. She was stellar litigator, and one of the first highly successful female courtroom lawyers in Nassau County. She served many of our law students as a legal writing faculty member as well as through her work with moot court. For many years she also represented Hofstra Law to the Inn of Court. We remember Kathleen for her quick intellect and great humor, and especially for her devotion and love for our students.

Nora V. Demleitner
Dean and Professor of Law
