Recruitment & Admissions
The Role of Alumni in Admissions
The Admissions Office welcomes the assistance of alumni from around the country in the recruiting process. Alumni represent the School of Law at admissions forums which are held each fall throughout the nation. They host informal gatherings and speak by phone with accepted students about the opportunities available at the Law School and the benefits of a Hofstra education. Graduates also play an important role in identifying prospective students. If you wish to take part in this process, please contact Admissions by E-mail at lawadmissions@hofstra.edu, or by phone at (516) 463-5916.
- Represent Hofstra at recruitment events

- Host an event for accepted students and alumni
- Contact admitted students in your area by phone or e-mail
- Attend an Accepted Students' Reception or other events
The Hofstra Law School Alumni Association works cooperatively with the faculty and administration to organize alumni events, reunions, and fundraisers as well as assure that alumni interests are represented in decisions. The Board of Directors meets monthly to review plans for upcoming events and discuss issues facing the Law School. The Alumni of the Month program recognizes a uniquely accomplished member of the Hofstra Law School alumni community. Regional chapters are a great way for alumni outside of New York to connect with Hofstra Law School. Affinity chapters bring together members of the alumni community with similar interests and identifications.
