International Internships, Externships and Grants

Utilizing the wide variety of resources available to them in the Law School, Hofstra law students have opportunities to pursue summer internships in international law, both domestically and abroad.

Summer internships are available through the American Bar Association's Rule of Law Initiative (ROLI) which is dedicated to promoting rule of law around the world. The internships may be available in the ROLI offices in Washington or in any Rule of Law Initiative program areas: Africa, Asia, Europe-Eurasia, Latin America-Caribbean, and Mid East-North Africa.

In addition, our location in the New York metropolitan area creates a wide array of opportunities for students to obtain internships with local international organizations, agencies and NGO’s. Through Hofstra’s externship program, students may be eligible to receive credit for such work. Students who do not receive academic credit may be eligible for summer funding for domestic and international internships from the Law School’s Public Justice Foundation.
