The Hofstra Labor and Employment Law Journal
is proud to present a live symposium entitled:
Emerging Technology and Employee Privacy
Focusing on the effects of Emerging Technologies, such as the BlackBerry®, RFIDS, GPS, and other tracking technologies in the employment arena. This symposium will compare and examine proposed solutions to privacy concerns, address the prevalent and continuous data theft debacles, and discuss legal responses to this emerging area of the law.
The symposium will feature some of the most prominent employee privacy scholars, practitioners, and policy makers from across the United States. Some of our featured speakers will include Samuel Estreicher, the Dwight D. Opperman Professor of law and director of Labor and Employment Law at the New York University School of Law, and Professor Matthew Finkin, the Albert J. Harno and Edward W. Cleary Chair in Law and Director of the Program in Comparative Labor and Employment Law & Policy at the University of Illinois, College of Law.
