The Hofstra University School of Law has always viewed the subject of legal ethics as a priority and an essential component of legal education. However, in the last several years, legal ethics has become the focus of intense national attention.Hofstra's Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics (ISLE) serves as a research center for the study of legal ethics issues. In addition to offering courses in professional responsibility, ISLE sponsors speakers, conferences, symposiums and also provides opportunities for student and faculty research.
