Juris Doctor Degree

Part-Time Program
To be eligible for the J.D. degree, students in the part-time program must:
  • Complete at least 87 credits.
  • Satisfy residency requirements.
  • Pass all required courses, including Lawyers' Ethics or Ethics and Economics of Law Practice in either the second, third or fourth year.
  • Successfully complete the two upper-class writing requirements.
  • Satisfy the skills requirement. (Applies to J.D. students matriculating in Fall 2006, excluding transfer students, or later.)
  • Achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average.
    • For students entering prior to Fall 2007 – 2.0.
    • For students entering in Fall 2007 or Later – 2.2.
