Full-Time Program

The first-year program is required. The curriculum for the second and third year in the full-time program is elective, except that in the second year students must take Constitutional Law I and Constitutional Law II.

To be eligible for the J.D. degree, students in the full-time program must:
  • Complete at least 87 credits.
  • Satisfy residency requirements.
  • Pass all first-year courses.
  • Pass Constitutional Law I and Constitutional Law II, required second-year courses.
  • Pass Lawyers' Ethics or Ethics and Economics of Law Practice in either the second or third year.
  • Successfully complete the two upper-class writing requirements.
  • Satisfy the skills requirement. (Applies to J.D. students matriculating in Fall 2006, excluding transfer students, or later.)
  • Achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average.
    • For students entering prior to Fall 2007 – 2.0.
    • For students entering in Fall 2007 or later – 2.2.
