From New York City and Other Points West:
Via Grand Central Parkway/Northern State: Take the Grand Central Parkway heading East. As you cross into Nassau County, the name changes to the Northern State Parkway. Take Northern State Parkway to Exit 31A, which is the Meadowbrook Parkway South. Follow directions above from Meadowbrook Parkway heading South.
Via Long Island Expressway (LIE): Take the LIE East to Exit 38 (crossover to Northern State Parkway). Take Northern State Parkway to Exit 31A, which is the Meadowbrook Parkway South. Follow directions above from Meadowbrook Parkway heading South.
Via Southern State Parkway: Take Southern State Parkway East to Exit 22N Meadowbrook Parkway North. Follow directions above from Meadowbrook Parkway heading North.From Points East:

From Meadowbrook Parkway heading South: Take Meadowbrook Parkway South to Exit M4, which is Hempstead Turnpike (route 24 West) (sign will say Hempstead and Coliseum). The exit ramp is very long (approximately 1 mile). Stay straight on exit ramp to Hempstead Turnpike. Make a right onto Hempstead Turnpike. You will see the large green EAB building on your left and Nassau Coliseum on your right. Stay on Hempstead Turnpike to California Avenue (which is the traffic light just before the second covered walkway over Hempstead Turnpike and just after the Dunkin' Donuts on your left). Make a left onto California Avenue and follow the directions below.
From Meadowbrook Parkway heading North: Take Meadowbrook Parkway North to Exit M4 Hempstead Turnpike (route 24 West) (Hempstead/Coliseum). Stay on Hempstead Turnpike to California Avenue (which is the traffic light just before the second covered walkway over Hempstead Turnpike and just after the Dunkin' Donuts on your left). Koppelman Hall and Kushner Hall: Go past the first stop sign on California Avenue. When you see the Hofstra Deli on your right, continue past the Deli and the Koppelman Hall and Kushner Hall are located on your right. Parking is available in front of Koppelman Hall.Joan Axinn Hall: Go past the first stop sign on California Avenue. When you see the Hofstra Deli on your right, look to your left - there will be a one-story building that looks like it has two open pyramids on the roof. This is Joan Axinn Hall, where the Office of Career Services for the Law School is located. Our parking lot is just past the building on your left. The Career Services reserved parking spots are at the very end of the last row.
Transportation by Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)
The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) has frequent trains to the Hempstead Station from Pennsylvania Station, located at 34th Street and 7th Avenue, New York City, as well as from the Flatbush Avenue Station in Brooklyn, New York. From Hempstead Station use local taxi service to the Hofstra campus.

Transportation From Airports
The campus is located approximately 30 minutes by car from either John F. Kennedy International Airport or LaGuardia Airport. Call in advance for reservations:Classic Transportation
Classic Transportation provides shared van service from JFK and LaGuardia Airports to Hofstra University. Courtesy phones are located in the baggage claim area of both airports, and are connected directly to Classic dispatch/reservation. Dial 20 from the courtesy phone to speak directly with the reservation department. Tell the representative that you are traveling to Hofstra University.

Location of Hofstra University
Hofstra University is located in Hempstead, Long Island, New York, about 25 miles east of New York City, less than an hour away by train or automobile.
Dining Facilities on Campus
The Dining Services currently offer 16 campus locations that are conveniently situated. The Student Center, located in the core of the campus, has a Student Center café that offers an authentic Asian food station, a gourmet salad bar, Cabo Caliente (mexican cuisine), In the Raw sushi bar, Charcoals Burgers, a wrap-and-panini sandwich station, The Omelette Pan (serving breakfast items), a California-style juice bar with fresh baked goods, and more. Also located in the Student Center is Sbarro's Italian Eatery, Nature's Organic Grille (offering organic wraps, burgers and pastas), the Rathskellar, Mediterranean Market, and Burlaps gourmet coffee shop.
As you go south on campus, you'll find Bits 'n Bytes Café Bistro, a visually exciting environment that offers a wide range of food concepts including salads made-to-order, west coast-style sicilian pizza, panini sandwiches, and a variety of packaged specialty items.
Café on the Quad features Starbucks coffee and an assortment of fresh baked goods. And right next to the Law School is the Hofstra Deli, one of the most popular places on campus, offering a variety of deli sandwiches and grilled items, bottled drinks, takeout items, and plenty of snacks.
Only one dining facility,the Hofstra University Club, requires reservations. You may make reservations for lunch/dinner by calling (516) 463-6648. Reservations are limited.
